Today I must without fail avoid spending a lot of time doing anything but studying. However, before I begin I want to perform a couple of obligatory Rule 2 reach-arounds.
Besides, it's good stuff worthy of your time.
Andrew Breitbart giving us the confessions of Rep. Dingell. It's all about controlling the people.
"Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."
Stacy at The Other McCain has a good article in The American Spectator which, despite all the political Ecstasy Liberals have been popping the past few days, shows the progress Conservatives have made in 7 months. A good read and a proper perspective on things. All with Nevada desert dust on his face!
Over at Reihl World View, Dan has a couple good conversations going on regarding a new (actually a retread) CBS poll on how families feel ObamaScare will impact them. Despite the aforementioned Ecstasy binge, a growing percentage number of people feel the HCR legislaction will have little or no effect on them. Dan also touches on Republican strategy heading toward November. As I have posted here, education of the voting population will do nothing but enhance support for Conservative candidates.
Political Byline wins today's best headline award for "F*CK CANADA!". This is measured and temperate response to the cancellation of Ann Coulter's visit. People, want to see where the USA is headed under Obama? Just peer north. And has been said before, if Canada was any worse, it would be called France. Hosers!
The Lonely Conservative covers the same story, but also touches on Obama's refusal to be photographed with Isreal PM Binyamin Netanyahu. Now I have two thoughts on this; first, it's somewhat redundant - a "Yahoo" photographed with Netanyahu. Second, it appear you can take the boy from the camel, but not the camel from the boy - with respect to Obama. Israel doesn't always always do things as we would like - no country should - but maybe he should rethink how he's handling relations with them at the moment.
One final note. Think ObamaScare is bad? Well he has education in his sights as well. Expect that if he gets his hooks into our schools, we will see more of this. Sad, very sad report from Seattle, WA...
The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.
The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."
When she signed a consent form, Jill figured it meant her 15 year old could go to the Ballard Teen Health Center located inside the high school for an earache, a sports physical, even birth control, but not for help terminating a pregnancy.
That's it for now. Off to the Land of Cisco, and I'll post some thoughts as soon as time permits.
