Pro-Arizona, Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally in San Juan Capistrano, CA

Ms. LTB and I drove past these people yesterday, and unfortunately due to traffic and safety issues (plus being on a tight schedule for the concert) were not able to stop and get pics.

The most profound thing we noticed in this demonstration were the large numbers of Hispanics both holding signs and showing support for the group.  I've stated before that honest people, those who have come to America "the right way" are as profoundly against illegal immigration as everyone else is - because they know what prevalent elements are contained therein - criminals, moochers and deadbeats.  Legal aliens pay for them as well.

Ton Brown, one of the organizers of the rally want us to point everyone to a website promoting commerce to Arizona, both to counter the effects of stupid cities and their boycotts, but to show support for Gov. Brewer and SB 1070.

The Browns (and the LTBs) would like you to visit  www.buycottarizona.com to learn more about opposition to the boycotts.

SJC Americans, an activist group opposed to illegal immigration, plans to rally Saturday in San Juan Capistrano to support a controversial Arizona law that gives increased powers to police to detain people suspected of being in the country illegally.
The rally is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon at Camino Capistrano and Del Obispo Street.
The Arizona law, SB1070, which takes effect in July, will require police officials or agencies to try to determine the immigration status of a person involved in "lawful contact" with law enforcement "where reasonable suspicion exists regarding the immigration status of the person."
A follow-up bill, HB2162, amended the law to describe lawful contact as "stop, detention or arrest" in the enforcement of any other law or ordinance.
The law also authorizes law-enforcement agencies to "transport an unlawfully present alien to a federal facility."
The law has sparked heated opposition from critics who say it amounts to racial profiling. Supporters of the law counter that it says "a law-enforcement official or agency cannot solely consider race, color or national origin when implementing these provisions, except as permitted by the U.S. or Arizona Constitution."
Several cities and athletes have threatened to boycott events in Arizona and products and services originating in the state.
"We're seeing a lot of outcry with this 'boycott Arizona' movement," said Tony Brown, a leader of SJC Americans. "There's been a lot of that stuff going on, but our efforts are to counteract the boycott movement with a 'buycott Arizona' movement."
