I Cannot Believe It, But I Agree With A Kennedy

OK, hold on to your hats, but I share a common thought with (soon-to-be-ex) Rep. Patrick Kennedy d-RI.  Patrick had a psuedo-chemically enhanced-type angry rant today over failure to pass a foolish "end the war" bill introduced by Rep. Dennis Kuninich d-OH.  Read the entire article if you'd like at Fox News.  Fortunately, I can report that bill DOA.

As you might guess, Patrick's pink-cheeked anti-war rant is not what brought a smile to my face.  Instead it was his lambasting of the mainstram media.  Now this warmed my heart.  Thanks, Patrick!  Have a bong hit and a 12-pack!  It's all good, dude!

On Wednesday, Kennedy also took aim at the media. Swinging his arm at the press gallery, Kennedy chastised the news media as "despicable" for not covering the day's debate as heavily as they did the recent troubles of Rep. Eric Massa, D-N.Y., who resigned Monday amid allegations he sexually harassed a male aide.

"There's two press people in this gallery," he shouted. "We're talking about Eric Massa 24-7 on the TV? We're talking war and peace, $3 billion, a thousand lives -- and no press? No press?

"You want to know why the American public is fit? They're fit because they're not seeing their Congress do the work that they're sent to do. It's because the press -- the press of the United States is not covering the most significant issue of national important and that's the laying of lives down in the nation for the service of our country. It's despicable, the national press corps right now."

Well Patrick, it's not ALL the press.  Only your good-ol "drive-by media" buddies.  I'm sure they will come right over if/when you decide to backtrack on that bitch-slap you gave them today. Or, if you can't wait you can always head over to Eric Massa's pad.  Go with friends or he might tackle and tickle you...

You know, I just can't stop smiling....
